Preserving our local history and raising funds for charity

Path Head Press was born out of my activities with Land of Oak & Iron, making new editions of out-of-print local history books.

It is a special imprint affiliated to the Land of Oak & Iron Trust and various local history societies.

The first book I published as 'Path Head Press' was Brickworks of the North East by Peter Davison in 2022, as a result of which Chris and Mark Tilney built the magnificent Brick Heritage Monument at Path Head Water Mill, at the top of our street.

In 2023, I wrote and published Path Head Water Mill and helped John Boothroyd of Ryton Local History Society to bring two books back into print: Addison and Clara Vale.

Profits from the activities of Path Head Press raised a total of £1,000 for Path Head Water Mill [1011002] in 2022 and 2023

In 2024, profits from sales of these books will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, in memory of my husband, Kev Boyle (1955-2024) and John Boothroyd (1956-2023)
